“Becoming a higher self” is a personal choice. And what works for one person may not work for another. However, this book poses questions that help you decide what it means to find inner harmony and a sense of fulfilment and then provides steps to get – and continue to maintain – you on the path to achieving it. Most of you want to be living up to your fullest potential. Everyone has a unique life, and that journey is largely shaped by your lifestyle choices and your character.
This book aims to inspire women in my generation to shape their futures and seek new meaning in their lives when they reach their mid-forties or fifties. The purpose of this book is to bring a few tools from Western and Eastern ways to find your purpose and be a strong, independent, and emotionally self-sufficient version of yourself to live a long and purposeful life.
Having a plan doesn’t mean being rigid—if a plan is too rigid, it’s a recipe for disaster. Your plans and you should be flexible enough to adapt to changes, as they are inevitable. You can’t predict anything 100%. Be prepared for the unseen; that’s a sign of a wise person. If you stick to your plan, thinking that it is the only way to your goal, you are planning more for the destruction of your goals than achieving them. Adapting to changing circumstances doesn’t, by any means, imply that you abandon the entire plan. It’s more about making small adjustments here and there to ensure that you are on the right path. That’s the level of clarity and sense of purpose you need to stay motivated, even in the face of adversity.
